    Biography

    In Year 3 of the UBC MD Undergraduate program, students are completing "hands-on" clinical training (clinical clerkships) through practical experiences in the 10 key disciplines of medicine, working under the direction of clinician-teachers. As Clerkship Director, Dr. MacDonald is responsible for the IMP-specific delivery of the Year 3 program across Vancouver Island and ensures that the program meets the UBC learning objectives. She plays a key role in the recruitment of local clinical teachers as well as recruitment and supervision of Discipline Specific Site Leaders (DSSLs). Dr. MacDonald also collaborates with the Assistant Dean of Student Affairs to provide career guidance to medical students.
