  • Dr. Marjon Blouw

    Director of Community Engagement, IMP
    Office: MSB 324

Being the Community Engagement Director involves liaising with key stakeholders at the community level in order to create, maintain and expand a broad list of potential activities that will enable the medical students and learners from the different health professions training programs on Vancouver Island to experience how they can impact the lives of individuals and communities outside of the traditional experiential educational settings of the clinic and hospital.

Dr. Blouw completed an MD at the University of British Columbia and a Family Practice Residency through the rural medicine program in Port McNeill on Vancouver Island.  She is a Fellow with the College of Family Physicians of Canada.  Dr. Blouw practiced family medicine in Victoria for 12 years, developing a special interest in female sexual dysfunction.  She relocated to Winnipeg where she joined a referral practice in sexual medicine, individual and couple therapy.  In 2004, Dr. Blouw returned to Victoria where she has established a private referral practice in sexual medicine.  Dr. Blouw is the current president of the Victoria Chapter of the Federation of Medical Women of Canada.
