Background
I was born and raised in Victoria, but was foolish enough to move away.
After I completed a BA at UBC I relocated to Japan to teach English and pay off my student loans. I lived in Japan for more than three years and completed a Cambridge Certificate in English Language Teaching to Adults while I worked as an instructor. After returning to Canada, I worked for the federal government and then spent several years with Air Canada, primarily in Training and Development. It was clear that a career with Air Canada would necessitate me living in big city for the rest of my working life.
Having tried living in both Vancouver and Toronto I decided it was time to establish a career that would allow my family to live in a smaller city in BC. I was then fortunate enough to find a position with the Vancouver Island Health Authority. Prior to joining the Island Medical Program I worked in Client Relations with both the Vancouver Island Health Authority and Interior Health.
Personal Interests
Most of my personal interests have changed since the arrival of my two year old son, Angus. I am revisiting the joy of Lego and Thomas the Tank Engine.
Basically, I like spending time with my wife and son whenever I can.
