Senior instructor
Dr. Jane Gair joined the IMP as senior instructof in February 2005. Born and raised in Mississauga, Ontario, she began her university career at McMaster University in Hamilton, then moved to Vancouver where she completed her BSc in cell biology and genetics and her PHd in medical genetics at the University of British Columbia.
Dr. Gair joined the department of Medical Genetics in 1999 researching causes of abnormal chromosome numbers in human pregnancies.Throughout her five years in the department she was the teaching assistant for a number of courses and became a tutor for Problem Based Learning and Doctor, Patient and Society courses for both 1st and 2nd year students in the medical program. Dr. Gair also became involved in faculty development and facilitation of the tutor-training program and she is now the IMP's faculty development coordinator. |
