    Year 4 Director, Electives

    As Electives Director, Year 4, Dr. Modi is responsible for the IMP-specific implementation of the Year 4 clinical electives across Vancouver Island, and assists in the recruitment of clinical teaching faculty from across the Island in collaboration with the Year 3 Course Director, the Academic Site leader for the Central and North Island and the Postgraduate Directors.  Dr. Modi also works collaboratively with the IMP Student Affairs office in the development of career orientation programs for undergraduate medical students.

    Dr. Modi completed her MD at the University of British Columbia, followed by a residency in Family Medicine and a Diploma in Sport Medicine.  She is a Fellow of the College of Family Physicians of Canada and has practiced family medicine in Victoria for over 20 years.  Dr. Modi has a long association with medical education, both with the UBC Family Medicine Residency program as a clinical instructor and for five years as Lead Faculty for Evaluation and Assessment and with  the IMP as a tutor, physician mentor and examiner.
