    Centre for Health Education Research (CHES) IMP Liaison

    As CHES-IMP Faculty Liaison, Dr. Bourgeois-Law will create opportunities and conditions that encourage clinician teachers in the IMP to experience and explore possibilities for educational scholarship.  She will help to build a community of medical education scholars and leaders  on Vancouver Island, connect them to CHES and to the wider medical education research community and support them to facilitate the advancement of their career goals.

    Dr. Bourgeois-Law completed her Doctor of Medicine at the University of Manitoba, followed by medical residencies in Family Medicine and Obstetrics and Gynecology.  She holds an Applied Counselling Certificate and a Masters of Education from the University of Manitoba, and recently completed a Certificate in University and College Administration.  For 10 years, Dr. Bourgeois-Law was involved in continuing medical education at the University of Manitoba, most recently as Associate Dean for Continuing Medical Education.  Dr. Bourgeois-Law joined the UBC Faculty of Medicine in 2008, where she is Associate Dean, Professional Development and holds a position as Clinical Associate Professor with the UBC Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology.
